There is something not quite right about this whole thing, and although he senses her difference, he is surprised by her naiveté. His wariness and suspicions about Racheal are well founded, but the woman's presence stirs something unexpected in him.the urge to mate, and claim her for his own. In the luxuriant wildness of the jungles of Borneo, she hopes to find a modicum of safety, and at least the illusion of the peace that she lost with her parent's murder. Rachael knows that she is hunted, the reason is clear to her and her only recourse is to disappear, loose herself completely in the wilderness.
